Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order. We accept all major credit cards.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you email confirmation. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Errors and Omissions

Toplightco Ltd shall use its best endeavours to ensure that the information contained on this site is accurate and up-to-date, but Toplightco Ltd accepts no liability for omissions or errors therein or their consequences.

Toplightco Ltd shall not be liable for any consequential direct or indirect loss or damage of any nature whatsoever alleged to be caused by errors or omissions in the information contained in this site or in advice or information given by directors, staff or agents for the Company.

Shipping And Handling

We will action your order promptly either the same day or the day after you place it assuming that it is a week day.

Delivery Schedule

Most lighting will be delivered to UK addresses within 4-5 working days. However, please note this NOT guaranteed as delivery times can be affected by weather conditions, industrial disputes or other factors. Therefore you are strongly advised NOT to make any arrangements concerning installation until you have the ordered items to hand as claims for consequential loss will NOT be entertained.

Delivery times are based on normal business days and and time to delivery is calculated from the day after receiving your order, they do not include weekends or public holidays.

We will deliver Free of charge to the UK mainland if your total order comes to £150 or more (before VAT is added). Otherwise its £7.95 for Orders less than £20 and £5.95 on orders less than £150)

We will ship using a carrier that gives the optimum mix of care, handling, cost and speed of delivery. Information about this will be given with the 'Order Shipped' email that we will send you. Please note that ALL orders require a signature on delivery!

If we are out of stock for any particular item we will email with the likely delivery date. You have the option to continue with, or cancel your order at that time. Being an online business, we do not have a retail store or customer counter. Our insurance does not allow us to operate a customer collection facility and all orders will need to be sent by the usual methods.

Deliveries are Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays)

Delivery Problems

If, upon opening your package, you discover any shortage or damage whatsoever, please call or email us immediately. We need to make insurance claims as soon as possible after delivery and we regret that we will not be able to pursue claims for damage in transit or shortage after more than 7 days have elapsed.

Please do not order unless you are going to be available to receive and sign for your delivery. Deliveries take place between 9.00am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. If you are not at home when your delivery is attempted, you will receive a card providing contact details of the Post Office or delivery company. In such circumstances, please contact them to make arrangements for re-delivery or collection.

Items that are undelivered for 4 working days will be returned to us. An additional delivery charge will be required before the item can be re-delivered. We do not refund shipping costs for non-delivery unless it is due to our fault or the fault of the shipping company.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges

For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added.

All our lighting products are guaranteed for at least a year after delivery. Lightbulbs are guaranteed up to their stated working life.

Toplightco Ltd do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Returns Policy

If you order as an ordinary private consumer, you may cancel your order within fouteen days of making it and receive a full refund upon returning the goods, unused and in their original packaging. If you do wish to cancel please email admin@toplightco.com requesting a refund.

You will be responsible for the cost of returning the items safely to the Return Address we give you. Please do NOT return to our office address.

All products ordered, in error or not required, which have been ordered by or delivered to companies or businesses will be subject to a 25% handling charge with the cost of return carriage to be incurred by the customer. For the avoidance of doubt, orders with a corporate email address given are included. No returns will be accepted after fourteen days have elapsed following delivery, for whatever reason.

Returns

Returned goods will not be accepted without a Returns Note number which can be obtained from ourselves. Please email admin@toplightco.com.

Once issued, the goods in question must be received by our distributors within 14 days otherwise the Returns Note is cancelled and NO FURTHER REFUND OR RETURN will be accepted.
